Senate passes bill to allow SMEs to cancel rent deals without fine

MOSCOW, Jun 2 (PRIME) -- The Federation Council, Russian parliament's supreme chamber, passed a bill on Tuesday, allowing small and medium-sized business in the industries most affected by the coronavirus to cancel real estate rent agreements in 2020 without penalties if a leaseholder refuses to adjust payment conditions.

In order to become law, the bill shall be signed by the president.
